I devour comic books much in the same way I pour through movies and tv shows and usually have the same result -- most of it is either mediocre or poor. Its just the nature of reading a lot of comics. Most are forgettable, some are bland yet remembered for their continuity contributions, and a few knock you down with just how good they are. Many great comics are immediately great, thought most are dense and only appear great after being reread 6 months down the road. Its only January but I would not be surprised if All Star Superman #6 holds up as one of the best single issues of the year. So exciting and heartbreaking. The God of All Comics does it again.

hi, chris. can't email at work, so i can only add to blog entries. so i read buddy died. not my dog, the other buddy. never ever ever would have thought about kandor, but is it week 37 kandor? i thought supernova was ray palmer, but it sadly seems that he is booster gold, which at least explains my original theory of mixing the alpha and omega symbols to get the symbolf for gold--au. tell salma that she should email me or you can be my go-between, as i can email her tales of the grim and gritty chicago we both adore. where the hell have you been anyhow? nothing from you since portland, the town i will one day commit suicide in. my new beta-blog is frankenstein1959 if you didn't know, and it links to my old blog. i'm in the process of reading the pdf for the 15th anniversary edition of the holy terror. i'll keep you posted.
